Suffolk County Sheriff Steven Tompkins Arrested In Florida, Charged With Extortion: FBI
Tompkins, 67, was indicted by a federal grand jury on two counts of extortion. He is being accused of extorting $50,000 worth of stocks in a cannabis company. After the value of his investment plummeted, he reportedly demanded a full refund from the company.
Pickup Truck Crashes Through Home's Garage Door In Massachusetts
The resident was awoken from his home on Dwelly Street in Pembroke to find a truck had penetrated three-quarters of the way through his garage. The driver, who also hit a mailbox before the collision, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

AYR Wellness announced it is closing its four Massachusetts locations in Milford, Somerville, Watertown, and Needham. 157 people are slated to lose their jobs due to the closings by the end of September.
