MELROSE, MA — Folk singer-songwriter Peter Mulvey will be in Melrose later this month for a fundraiser concert. The event is set for Sunday, Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the new headquarters of Follow Your Art Community Studios at 647 Main Street in Melrose. Proceeds from the show will go to Follow Your Art's <a href="https://www.fyamelrose.org/arts-for-all-mission/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Arts for All initiative</a>, which is focused on reducing barriers to access arts programming. Mulvey hails from the Milwaukee area. He's since traveled throughout the world, performing everything from busking gigs to larger venue shows. Mulvey has created 20 records during his career and delivered a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNGUkdovn_8" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">TEDx talk</a> in 2013. He has performed with artists including Ani DiFranco and Emmylou Harris. Follow Your Art Community Studios traces its history back to 2008, when Follow Your Art opened as a community art studio in Melrose.
