The Marlins won the <a href="http://www.melrosebaberuth.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Melrose Babe Ruth</a> 13-year-olds league championship on Saturday, June 19 at Morelli Field with a 17-6 victory over the Tigers. Melrose Patch reader Garrey Faller, whose son Colin plays for the Marlins, submitted this photo of the post-game celebration. The team went 11-6-2 this season, including playoff games. The Marlins players are: Andrew McDonald; Aaron Aveni; Nathan Tikonoff; Greg Whelan; Derek Costa; Trevor Riley; Mike O'Neill; Colin Faller; Mike Keane; Matt Murphy; Ryan Feeney; Dennis Scannell; and Nate Horne. The Marlins Coaches are John Whelan, Derek Costa and Tom Gilmartin. Congratulations to the Marlins for their championship and all Babe Ruth teams on their seasons!
