Melrose DPW Worker 'Somewhat Stable,' Fundraiser Nets $23K
A GoFundMe for Bob DiVola, who remains on a ventilator in the ICU, is helping his family in a difficult time.

MELROSE, MA — An online fundraiser for the DPW worker in intensive care due to coronavirus has raised nearly $23,000 in just over its first day.
Bob DiVola, 56, remains at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, still "battling for his life," according to a GoFundMe. His son, Robert, told Patch Wednesday his father is still on a ventilator but "somewhat stable."
The fundraiser is helping DiVola's wife and two other sons, who are unable to be with him due to quarantine.
