MELROSE, MA — Two adults were displaced and at least one firefighter suffered injuries during a house fire on Willow Street early Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters and neighbors found it tough to maintain social distancing on the narrow street where dozens were crowded around 62 Willow St. Flames were coming out the roof of the two-story home, also damaging an adjacent house.

At least two residents on the first floor were home at the time of the fire. They escaped safely and watched from the sidewalk as firefighters poured water onto their charred home.
