Melrose Student Headed to US Naval Academy

Let’s have a round of applause for Melrose’s Brian McLaughlin, who’s on his way to being able to sing “In The Navy,” although probably not as well, and for different reasons than The Village People do.

On Wednesday, Congresswoman Katherine Clark welcomed 15 students from the Massachusetts 5th Congressional District to her office in Medford, to congratulate them on appointments to various United States Service academies.

McLaughlin, who’s headed to the U.S. Naval Academy, received a certificate of special congressional recognition from the former state senator.
