Melrose Wants Input On Fiscal Year 2026 Budget
The city released a survey for residents to take.

MELROSE, MA — The city is soliciting community feedback for its fiscal year 2026 capital budget through a survey.
The survey is currently available for residents to complete, and will remain open until Friday, Jan 31. It contains three main questions that allow for open-ended responses. The first two questions ask participants to reflect on the FY2025 budget of $104,140,412 and decide what should and should not continue to be prioritized in FY26 respectively. The third question inquires about what participants would like to see receive new investment if funding was available.
The FY25 budget saw the elimination of numerous school and city job positions. One significant component of the budget was a $300,000 investment in the Northeast Regional Vocational Technical High School building project.
