Melrose YMCA Congratulates Livestrong Instructors for Their Impact
Win 2025 Ethel Leonard Award for Service

The Melrose Family YMCA proudly congratulates Courtney Vernadakis and Jeff Dodds, Livestrong at the Y instructors, for being recipients of the YMCA of Metro North Ethel Leonard Award for Service at the Y’s 2025 Annual Meeting. This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to service and community impact.
Courtney and Jeff have led the Livestrong at the Y program in Melrose with extraordinary compassion and dedication, helping cancer survivors rebuild physical strength, emotional resilience, and a sense of community after treatment. Through their leadership, participants find a safe, empowering space to heal and thrive.

Livestrong at the Y is a free, 12-week program that supports adult cancer survivors through small-group fitness and wellness coaching led by trained instructors.
