MelroseKind Running October Diaper Donation Drive
The local nonprofit is gathering diapers for multiple area groups and organizations providing services to families in need.
MELROSE, MA — MelroseKind is continuing its MelroseKind Collects program this month with a donation drive focused on collecting diapers for families in need.
MelroseKind is a Melrose-based nonprofit. It runs monthly donation drives around a rotating theme.
October diaper donations can be dropped off any time before the end of the month at the MelroseKind Kindness Porch at 249 Grove Street, as noted in a recent announcement. MelroseKind is accepting donations in all diaper sizes.

“The need for diapers far exceeds the supply and we are grateful for all you can give,” MelroseKind said this week.
Diapers will go to the Melrose YMCA and combined programming by The Food Drive and the Saugus Emergency Motel Shelter Program.

“As financial belts are tightened, donations become even more important,” MelroseKind said.
The Food Drive is a Melrose organization, itself. It runs programs to support homeless families in coordination with the Motel Shelter Program. Current programming and aid serves families with children ranging in age from newborns to 17.
Size three, four and five diapers are most needed at this point, according to MelroseKind, though all sizes are welcome.
MelroseKind recently wrapped up its September donation drive, gathering 134 Halloween costumes to be distributed to children through the Medford Family Network in Medford.
“Thanks to each and every one of you for representing Melrose so kindly,” MelroseKind wrote in a message to costume donors on Monday. “We'll look at the ghosts and goblins differently this year, knowing that the smiles on those faces were aided by your contributions and your love.”
