MelroseKind Runs School Supply Drive For Teachers

The nonprofit is running the supply drive as part of its MelroseKind Collects initiative.

MELROSE, MA — An ongoing charity drive by the nonprofit MelroseKind is collecting donations to support teachers in the Melrose Public Schools during the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.

Running through the end of the month, the charity drive is seeking paper towels, tissues and non-toxic wipes.

Donors can leave supplies at MelroseKind’s Kindness Porch at 249 Grove Street in Melrose.

The MelroseKind Collects program in particular launched earlier this year. It supports a different organization each month.

Organizers announced their August drive for teachers last week. They’ve since celebrated a flood of donations.

“We are impressed and awed by you,” the organization wrote on Facebook on Tuesday. “Donations overfloweth but more needed.”
