Melrose's 2015 Halloween Sex Offender Safety Map

Before the kids go out trick-or-treating on Halloween, it’s a good time to take inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.

Melrose has two Level 3 sex offenders who either live or work in the town, according to the state’s Sex Offender Registry Board.

The Level 3 sex offender designation is reserved for the most severe offenders. Level 3 sex offenders pose a ‘high risk’ to reoffend, according to the state. They are not wanted by police, and it is illegal to use the following information to commit a crime or engage in any discrimination or harassment against an offender.

William Pistorino, 57, lives at 3 Harding Road, Melrose, and works at 695 Main St., Melrose. Convicted of three counts of rape in 1997 and one count of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older in 1997.

Mark J. Priestly, 60, lives at 23 West Wyoming Ave., No. 1, Melrose. Convicted of two counts of rape of a child with force in 1990.
