MelroseWakefield Hospital Welcomes Its New Leader
The interim President was announced as taking over the role permanently.

MELROSE, MA — Tufts Medicine has appointed the new permanent leader of MelroseWakefield Hospital.
Bill Wyman was named the new President of the hospital on Wednesday after serving nine months in the interim position. Tufts leadership said that Wyman has made many positive impacts since he stepped into the role last October.
“Bill has distinguished himself with more than 30 years of progressive leadership at
Tufts Medicine and its community hospitals,” Chief Operating Officer of Tufts Medicine Phil Okala said. “In each and every management role, Bill has demonstrated a strong commitment to employees and local communities and has successfully advanced enterprise-wide initiatives.”

Wyman holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Merrimack College, a
Master of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from Southern New Hampshire University. He was previously the Senior Vice President for Operations. In that position, he is credited with helping the hospital earn Level III trauma designation. With this new role, Wyman also becomes the President of Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
