Social Distancing Complaints Racking Up For Melrose Police: Log

MELROSE, MA — Police are reminding people to lock their vehicles after recent reports of possible break-in attempts. Last week's police log (below) had several reports of car break-ins across the city, while Chief Michael Lyle reported attempts along Upham Street.

"Car break-ins and thefts are crimes of opportunity," Lyle said. "While the crime rate is low in Melrose we are asking residents to be vigilant about locking their car doors at night to prevent unnecessary property loss."
