Swap Day Returns June 7 in New Location
Popular free community reuse event will be at Melrose High School parking lot
Melrose will hold “Swap Day” at the parking lot of Melrose High School this Saturday, June 7 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Use Melrose Street entrance. Hosted by Zero Waste Melrose, Swap Day is a community reuse event that provides an opportunity to save reusable items from being discarded. People bring items they no longer need and others give them a new home. Everything is free.
The event attracts folks looking to “de-clutter,” or just enjoy finding items for free while they socialize with fellow Melrosians. You don’t have to bring something to take something.
Items accepted include gently used clothing, shoes, books, bicycles, toys, sports equipment, home decor, and office supplies. You can also bring small household appliances like hair dryers, blenders, lamps and toasters. All items will be checked for working condition at the drop-off point.
