Where to Expect Traffic Delays In Melrose This Week

Road work in various areas in Melrose may slow down traffic on certain roads.

Certain streets in Melrose may be less-than-optimal options for motorists looking to reach a destination as quickly as possible during the week of June 1, due to a handful of repaving projects.

Luckily, via a blog post, the city let residents know where and when to expect delays.

Tuesday, June 2: Traffic delays on Washington Street between Trenton and Stone Place, and possibly on Franklin Street as well. The chance of detours during hours of less-than-rush-hour traffic are possible, though not necessarily likely.

Wednesday, June 3: The paving process for a bit of Washington Street between Stone Place, Trenton Street, and Stone Place will conclude. Those portions of the road will be closed during the paving for obvious reasons.

Thursday, June 4: Same goes for Franklin Street between Howie Street and the railroad tracks - paving will mandate a detour.
