5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 25
Today is an election day, and it's the final day of classes for Milford students.

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.
1. Use caution around schools today. It's the final day for Milford students, and they will be dismissed early for summer break.
2. The polls for the special state election are open in Milford from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Portuguese Club, the Italian-American Post and the Milford Senior Center. The race pits U.S. Rep. Edward Markey against Gabriel Gomez, a businessman and former Navy Seal, for the open U.S. Senate seat to represent Massachusetts.

3. If you visited the town of Milford's website, or its associated casino page, and saw a red warning sign that alerted you to the presence of malware, do not fear. The sites were restored Monday, and did not have an infection, said Town Administrator Richard Villani.
4. Out-of-town residents are welcome to attend the but they cannot ask questions. Only residents or business owners in Milford can ask questions.
