Milford Man Charged In Child Sex Abuse Sting Operation

Three men thought they were arranging sex with a child when they they were communicating with undercover law enforcement officers.

MILFORD, MA — A Milford man was one of three men arrested in a joint investigation into crimes against children, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

Surya Chandra Ravi Kumar Eda is facing charges after police say he tried to arrange sex for money with an underage child. Kumar Eda and two others, Joseph Norton of Framingham and Eric Gurvis of Sherborn, thought they were arranging sex with a child when they were communicating with undercover law enforcement officers, according to MSP.

The three men were charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee with a Child, Enticement of a child under the age of 16, and Attempt to Commit a Crime. They were held on $7,500 bail pending arraignment at Framingham District Court.

The Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victims Unit, alongside officers from the Framingham Police Department, conducted the operation.
