WMRC Local Music Awards

First Class Radio WMRC (1490 AM) is proud to present the 2013 WMRC Local Music Awards (LMAs) at PiNZ in Milford on Sunday, May 19, 2013. This “Grammy-esque” awards show has been created to honor the local music community for their creative contributions throughout the year. This is the second time this event has been held with last year’s LMAs drawing over 600 people to the event.  

Nominees and their guests will experience a “Hollywood-rockstar” environment” complete with limo arrival to a red carpet entrance where they will be greeted by fans and press. Nominees will be interviewed as they arrive to by our red carpet host on Milford TV. 

Live music will be featured by nominees throughout the night. Fans who are lucky enough to attain a coveted “backstage pass” can hang out with their favorite nominees in the Narragansett VIP Lounge that will emulate a true “backstage” area.

Nominees were chosen from a diverse academy of 50 people. Nominees were officially released on Monday, April 8^th kicking off the voting process. Voting will close on April 29^th. Fans are encouraged to vote by going to the WMRC website and clicking on the WMRC Local Music Awards logo. www.wmrcdailynews.com.

The LMAs is a 21+, free event open to the public.  The red carpet ceremony will kick off at 5:00PM with the show starting promptly at 6:00PM. There are 30 categories of awards covering all sectors of the local music scene. The show will close with the ever coveted “Headliner Award”.
