Fight Among Old MHS Classmates Escalates To Pinz Chaos: Arrests

"You're fat and you think your dad's the mayor." Two people face a multitude of charges after a fight escalates at the bar Pinz.

MILFORD, MA—Two women face a slew of charges, including assaulting an officer and mayhem, after a fight about high school days turned physical at the Milford bar and bowling alley Pinz. Police were called to Pinz shortly after midnight on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, where they were told a disturbance was happening. Two bouncers told police that those who were involved took off in a grey sedan, which a minute later pulled back into the parking lot.

A man ran from the passenger side toward to front door of Pinz. Another bouncer came running outside and said that a woman was hit in the face with a bar chair and suffered a severe wound that was bleeding heavily. The woman who struck the girl with the chair tried to run and headed toward Cisneros. The woman, later identified as Jaylicia Johnson, allegedly started to run toward Depot Street and police chased her. A second woman, later identified as Sarah Ireland, reportedly tried to grab an officer, pushed him out of the way and grabbed his jacket, according to the report.

Police finally stopped Johnson in the parking lot, and she appeared to be intoxicated, according to the report, which indicated she was "belligerent and acted in a tumultuous behavior. She was very uncooperative to the point where her yelling and screaming had created a public alarm causing a large gathering of people around Officer Dinis and I."

Officers felt outnumbered and bouncers helped to try to disperse the crowd, but Johnson continued to flail her arms and scream at police. Johnson resisted arrest, fighting with officers. When an officer put her in the cruiser, Johnson looked at him and said his girlfriend's name with a smirk on her face, according to reports.

"I felt that she was trying to threaten and intimidate me by saying this," wrote the officer in the report.

The victim had two deep two-inch cuts to her left eye and said her friends were going to take her to the hospital, adding that Johnson had picked up a bar chair over her head and threw it directly at her face, jumped on her and punched her face repeatedly with her fist. Johnson, according to the arrest report, was extremely angry because of talk about past high school experiences, and allegedly yelled at the victim, "You're fat and you think your dad's the mayor."

Ireland allegedly started to attack another victim, according to the report, grabbing her hair and throwing her to the ground. All parties involved in the fight are past classmates from Milford High School. Johnson continued to be uncooperative and refused to identify herself at booking, said the report.

Police returned to Pinz, where bouncers and witnesses corroborated the incident. The victim hit by the chair received seven stitches, and according to her doctor, will have a visible scar, said the police report. She also had heavy bruising.
