ICYMI: Remembering Milford's 9-11 Victim
This Sunday marks the anniversary of the 9-11 tragedy.
MILFORD, MA—We all remember where we were when it happened, and Sunday marks the 15th anniversary of the tragedy that shook the nation. Around the country, many will gather to honor and remember the victims of the 9-11 attack, which occurred on Sept. 11 of 2001. More than 3,000 people lost their lives that day.
Milford lost one of its own in the attack:
- Herbert Homer, 48, worked for a defense contract management agency, was on United Flight 175. "I just heard today (almost ten years later) that you died in the Twin Towers. I find it hard to believe that someone so happy as you and such a great person died. I will never forget all the good times we had together in high school and even when we went out again later. My prayers to you and your family," wrote one person on this 9-11 Heroes Tribute page.
