Man Accused Of Threatening To 'Shoot Up' Milford Home Arrested After Multi-State Pursuit

He was accused of being involved in multiple high-speed chases, evading capture each time.

MILFORD, MA — A multi-agency effort led to the arrest of a man who had a warrant out for his arrest in Milford.

On Sept. 22, Milford police recieved reports of a man, identified as Alexis Sierra, waving a firearm and threatening to "shoot up" a victim's residence. Sierra, 23, of Woonsocket, RI, fled the scene in a gray vehicle when detectives arrived, according to police.

Detectives stopped their pursuit to prevent danger to the public and notified both the Massachusetts and Rhode Island State Police Departments to try to find the vehicle.

A warrant was put out for his arrest on Sept. 25, and over the next few weeks, police said Sierra was accused of being involved in multiple high-speed chases, evading capture each time.

Those pursuits were from the Bellinham Police, Massachusetts State Police, Woonsocket Police, Providence Police and Rhode Island State Police Departments.

On Tuesday, he was arrested by the East Providence Police Department and was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, threat to commit a crime, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, failure to stop/yield, speeding in violation of a special regulation, passing violation, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and fugitive from justice.

“This arrest is a testament to the outstanding collaboration among local and state agencies across Massachusetts and Rhode Island,” said Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino. “Their coordinated efforts ensured that a dangerous individual was taken off the streets without further harm to the public.”
