Milford Preps For Heat Wave With Cooling Centers

This week's heat wave is forecast to peak Thursday with heat indices near 100 in the area.

MILFORD, MA — Milford residents will have some options to seek refuge from the heat wave Tuesday to Friday, although the Juneteenth holiday will disrupt some cooling options.

The Milford Senior Center will be open Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Milford Town Library will be open Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9 p.m and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On the holiday Wednesday, the Milford Police Department lobby and the Milford Fire Department Station 2, 21 Birch St., will have a classroom open to residents.
