In consideration of feedback from the community, the MCC will prioritize proposals in the visual arts (including public art and instruction), music, performing arts, and the sciences.
For the second time, the MCC will be implementing a direct-grant process for all approved grant recipients. Instead of requiring each grant applicant to process paperwork for reimbursement after their program or event has been completed, the council will make the awarded grant money available in full and up front to all approved grant recipients.

"Our goal in transitioning to direct granting is to attract a broader range of applicants and programming opportunities for the community by imposing less financial hardship on potential grant recipients. Last year, the Milford Cultural Council awarded over 20 grants ranging in value from $120 to $2,500 to support diverse programming in visual art, music, dance, and history. We encourage individuals and groups to submit applications for projects and events that will contribute to the cultural vitality of Milford in the coming year." said Chairperson Geri Eddins.
As a local partner of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Milford Cultural Council seeks to promote excellence, inclusion, education, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and sciences to foster a rich cultural life for all Milford residents, thereby contributing to the vitality of our community and economy.
Membership in the Milford Cultural Council is capped at 13 members per its rules and regulations. Current members of the council include Geri Eddins, Chair; Sandra Buckley; Vice Chair; Martin Montoya; Treasurer; Sara Vono-Caires; Secretary; C.C. Chapman, Michael Visconti, Jenny Lyons, Aboighasem Moazeni, Noressa Santomenna, Joclyn Crivello, Khizra Syeda, Michele Pici, and Denise Tracy
