Milford Library's 2024 By The Numbers

MILFORD, MA - A lot of reading can be done in 365 days, but Milford's library doesn't just check out books. 2024 was a fruitful year for the town staple.

Here are some numbers that show its

• Residents saved over $2.4 million by borrowing over 150,000 physical and digital titles
• If every book borrowed from the library was stacked on top of one another they'd reach 1.4 miles high
• The library's collection is over 6% larger
• Milford's readers requested 20,747 items from across the state, all of which were delivered right to the local library

The most popular title among adult was Kristin Hannah's "The Women," which was checked out 74 times. Kids borrowed the "Dog Man" series by Dav Pilkey 496 times, and young adults took out the "Dragon Ball Super" series by Akira Toriyama 90 times.
