Milford Police: Caller Reports Wires Down for Weeks on Fells Avenue

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Thursday, Oct. 30

At 10:15 a.m., a caller reported that wires had been down for about three weeks on Fells Avenue and no one had responded to fix them. Verizon was notified of the issue.

At 10:22 a.m., the Milford Water Company reported that a vehicle was illegally parked on a sidewalk and had been prohibiting staff to carry out their duties.

At 11:21 a.m., a caller reported a vehicle hit her parked car near Honey Dew Donuts on Prospect Street.

At 1:05 p.m., a caller reported that her garage door keypad and front door locks had been tampered with upon returning home. Officers spoke with the caller, who said she believed the matter to be due to kids next door who rang her doorbell and opened her screen. No damage or a breaking-and-entering attempt was reported.

At 2:56 p.m., the Milford Fire Department received a report of alarms sounding on Jenn-Paul Way.

At 5:21 p.m., a man reported to police that someone had hit his vehicle, though was unsure of what happened.

At 6:10 p.m., a caller reported a “weird smell” coming from her stove while cooking. No fire or smoke was reported but the individual reported her and her friend were not feeling well as a result.

At 11:14 p.m., a caller reported loud music coming from the second floor of an apartment building on Jefferson Street.
