Milford Police: Hypodermic Needles Found Near Shaws

Friday, Oct. 24

At 1:30 p.m., a caller reported a breaking-and-entering incident to Milford Police; upon arriving to her Congress Street home, the window in her bathroom had been open and multiple items had been missing, including a camera, watches, an iPad and a jewelry box.

At 3:05 p.m., a caller reported a four-car motor vehicle accident near Milford Hospital on Prospect Street. No injuries were reported.

At 4:07 p.m., police received a report of larceny from a business (Pinz) on South Main Street.

At 8:51 p.m., a caller reported finding several hypodermic needles near Shaw’s on Prospect Street.

At 8:53 p.m., Upton police requested check for an erratic driver operating a mid-sized pickup truck on West Street.

At 9:25 p.m., police were flagged down near Memorial Elementary School on Walnut Street and informed of a possible fight at the school. Officers checked the area but found nothing upon arrival.

At 10:06 p.m., a caller reported fire alarms had been sounding at the Whitcomb House Assisted Living on West Street. No smoke or fire was reported at the time of the call, only the alarms; maintenance personnel subsequently secured the alarms.

At 10:31 p.m., a caller reported a car had been driving all over the roadway near Milford Hospital on Prospect Street.
