Milford's Relay for Life Raises Funds to Fight Cancer

Hundreds of residents from local towns walked in the greater Milford Relay for Life on Friday.

More than 400 people walked the track at Milford High school during an overnight event that raised an estimated $100,000 for cancer research during the Relay for Life on Friday.

A group of 50 cancer survivors led the first lap of the relay. The event raised funds while bringing survivors and those suffering from the disease together.

When Susan Haney started the greater Milford Relay 15 years ago, the event raised $25,000.
