At Brookside Elementary School, Rachel Ritchie took over from Dr. Nicola Ansdell, who left this past summer. Ritchie attended the University of Pennsylvania and taught for about a decade in Newton.
“I’m excited to join a district that celebrates cultural diversity and recognizes the incredible strengths that students and families bring to our schools," Ritchie said. As a school leader, I strive to create a learning environment where every child feels they belong and has the support they need to thrive."

Evans had been a classroom teacher for 18 years, an academic tutor and a curriculum assistant. She was previously Vice Principal and a mathematics instructional coach at Framingham Public Schools.
