Nonprofit Supporting MA Families In Need Hosts Comedy Fundraiser

MILFORD, MA — A local nonprofit will host an event this month to raise awareness for its work in helping families in need in Massachusetts.

Project Just Because, a nonprofit organization based in Hopkinton, helps families who find themselves in unfortunate situations. The organization, which assists over 950 families each week, is set to host a Comedy Night Fundraiser in Milford this month.

Through its 13 different programs, Project Just Because provides families with food, clothing, school supplies, holiday gifts, cancer care baskets, items from the new country store and crisis 211 emergency assistance.

Each year, the organization’s fundraising director, Karen Regan, said she hosts a fundraiser in a different town to spread the word. On Oct. 24, the nonprofit will host a comedy event at the Italian American Post 40, at 4 Hayward Field in Milford.

The event, which will include comedians Steve Bjork, Emily Ruskowski and Zach Valencia, kicks off at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25, and you can find them here.
