Police Log: Package Stolen, Crying Woman in T-Shirt

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Dec. 18

12:59 p.m.: A caller asked to speak to an officer about theft from a motor vehicle on Beaver Street.

3:54 p.m.: A caller said he had footprints in his yard. Police responded and found they belonged to an animal.

5:27 p.m.: A caller at La Quinta Inn reported a woman was missing. Two of the three women in the party came down, and said the third woman had gone for a walk before 3 p.m. and hadn't been seen since. Police responded. The woman was shopping at Kohl's.

6:00 p.m.: A caller reported a theft from a motor vehicle on Vine Street. The thief took the face plate on the radio, as well as some smaller items.

7:21 p.m.: A woman reported her vehicle was broken into on Sidney Road. She was missing three blank checks, a signed check from her grandmother and a few other items.

7:55 p.m.: A caller reported people were yelling from an apartment on Shadowbrook Lane. Items were being thrown.

Thursday, Dec. 19

3:10 a.m.: A caller reported the hood of a vehicle on Iadarola Avenue was open, with the battery disconnected, and the tailgate missing.

7:12 a.m.: A woman reported her 16-year-old son was being disruptive. Police responded. An officer gave the teen a ride to school.

8:31 a.m.: A theft was reported on Sunset Drive. A woman said a package delivered to her house had not arrived and she thought it was stolen.

11:29 a.m.: A man asked to speak to an officer about a possible theft. He said he wrote a check to a supposed Realtor. The woman was then supposed to give the checks to the property owner, but this did not happen.

3:24 p.m.: A man reported a woman about 40 years old was wearing a T-shirt and crying on the side of the road, near Dunkin Donuts. She was gone when police arrived.

3:59 p.m.: A woman wearing a purple jacket and an American flag shirt was near the Mobil Route 85 on Cedar Street, and told a caller she was going to walk to Florida. Police checked I-495. She could not be located.

4:04 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle was being driven by a passenger on East Main Street. There was no one in the driver's seat. Police could not located it.

5:02 p.m.: A disturbance was reported at Milford Regional Medical Center. Several officers responded.

5:50 p.m.: Police responded to Hayward Street for a report of a man who would not leave a home. Police arrested Keyon M. Arthur, 31, of 56 Hayward St., Apt. A, Milford, on a warrant.

6:03 p.m.: A Hyundai was repossessed at Milford Regional Medical Center.

7:09 p.m.: A caller reported his co-worker was trying to leave La Quinta Inn and was intoxicated. Police responded and spoke to the people involved.

7:53 p.m.: Police responded to Milford Regional Medical Center for a disturbance.

8:13 p.m.: A man reported his father had been stealing large amounts of money from his bank accounts.
