Police Log: Person Writing on Cars with Markers, Car Setting off Fireworks

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. All arrests are reported. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, June 25

4:12 p.m.: A caller reported an assault. Police arrested Bridget Malley, 20, of 5 Eben St., Milford, on charges of domestic assault and battery and intimidating a witness.

5:04 p.m.: A caller said an 80-year-old woman was passing out at Kmart.

5:14 p.m.: A caller asked to speak to an officer about an iPhone in a blue case, which tracked to an address on Princess Pine Lane.

7:17 p.m.: A caller said a black Mazda was driving up and down on Caroline Drive, yelling obscenities and also writing on cars with washable markers.

7:22 p.m.: A woman on South Free Street said kids and their parents were being very loud in a backyard. Police checked and found the noise volume OK.

8:18 p.m.: A caller said he was being assaulted by his girlfriend.

10:14 p.m.: Medway Police notified Milford Police that a Honda Civic was heading into town with two unrestrained children in the back seat.

11:47 p.m.: A woman reported a man would not leave her house, but was not being physical. Police took the 42-year-old into protective custody.

Wednesday, June 26

2:15 a.m.: A caller on Purchase Street near Clarridge Circle said a person in a Chevy Malibu was driving around the neighborhood, lighting off fireworks. A second call came in from a woman who said her mailbox was blown up.

6:57 a.m.: A woman on Yale Drive said someone threw two eggs at her house.

7:59 a.m.: A caller on Whitewood Road asked to speak to an officer about vandalism done to the mailbox early that morning.

8:06 a.m.: A car reportedly struck a pole on Silva at Central streets. 

10:56 a.m.: Firefighters responded to a home on Aiden Street, where a man had an allergic reaction to a bee sting.

11:13 a.m.: A Honda Civic was repossessed without incident on Maple Street.

11:18 a.m.: A 1-year-old was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center after a wooden chair fell on her.

11:36 a.m.: A caller at Countryside Discount Liquors asked to speak to an officer about a customer who gave them counterfeit money.

12:23 p.m.: A caller said her father hit her in the face. Police filed a report.

2:00 p.m.: Police responded to the municipal lot on Main Street for a report of suspicious activity. Police arrested Andrew Cripps, 21, of 18 Main St., Apt. 2A, Milford, on a warrant.
