Curry College Employee Fired In Connection To Racist Messages
An employee at Curry College is believed to be behind the series of hateful and racist messages that were found on the school's campus.

MILTON, MA — An employee at Curry College was terminated Wednesday in connection to an ongoing investigation into a series of racist and hateful messages that were found at the school's Milton campus months ago.
President Kenneth Quigley along with the FBI's joint terrorism task force said they have identified one person they believe to be responsible for the hateful incidents earlier this year - and it was someone who worked for the school.
Quigley said the school could not name the employee due to the college's statement on non-discrimination, which requires confidentiality related to investigations, but added that "the outcome of the College's independent investigation has resulted in an employee being terminated and removed from our community."

Back in February, dozens of swastikas, hateful messages, and threats were found in the men's bathrooms inside a residence hall near the athletic field house on the campus. One of the messages included a threat against the Black community at Curry College.
As a result, Curry College offered students the option of learning from home the week of February 16 - 19, a date specifically mentioned in one of the messages. The school then went on to offer a $10,000 reward for anyone with information that could lead to a suspect.

Curry College later reviewed evidence that local law enforcement was able to retrieve and interview the person of interest and other individuals who were also potentially connected to the incidents.
"The college recognizes and regrets the impact these bias acts have had on our students, families, faculty and staff throughout the spring semester and hope this will allow us to continue moving forward," Quigley said in a statement. "It is our hope that this will bring some closure to the series of events we all suffered through. Thank you to our community members for their collective response in support of one another."
