Milton Establishes $100K Emergency Rental Assistance Fund
The fund is for residents who lost employment or income due to the coronavirus crisis.
MILTON, MA — Milton is partnering with Metro Housing Boston to establish a $100,000 emergency rental assistance fund for those who have lost employment or suffered income loss due to the coronavirus crisis.
The program is designed to assist those who owe back rent or are at risk of losing their housing.
Applications are accepted starting on Monday with a deadline of Aug. 7. At the end of the application period a lottery will be held to determine the wait-list order for receiving assistance.

"Housing is key to living a stable, healthy and fulfilling life," Milton Select Board Chair Melinda Collins said. "Housing is key to living a stable, healthy, and fulfilling life. It's critical to that available resources are put to work to help residents stay housed and safe during this difficult time of Covid-19 and its consequences."
Residents are eligible in up to $4,000 in assistance.
