Milton Police Remind Residents to Lock Doors
An Alfred Road home was broken into overnight Tuesday, prompting a statement from the Milton Police Department.

While statistics show that most residential break-ins in Milton occur during the day, a breaking and entering on Tuesday night has led the to release a statement reminding residents to lock doors and windows.
A break-in to an Alfred Road home was reported early Wednesday, September 12, after the homeowner noticed a television was missing. Milton Police said the home was entered through an unlocked screen door.
“Most breaks in Milton involve unsecured windows or doors,” said the MPD statement. “Please lock your first floor windows and rear doors.”

Whether the breaks take place during the day or overnight, Police say the suspects are looking for easy entrance to empty homes.
As with all crime in Milton, residents are encouraged to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
