The Redhawk Foundation, a fund of the Foundation for MetroWest, announced it raised $34,000 through its inaugural golf event, The Redhawk Cup. While research shows that participating in youth sports and activities can lead to short and long-term benefits for youth, their families, and communities, studies show many children are forced to quit sports because of the costs associated with fees and equipment.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support of our local community to help us launch The Redhawk Foundation," said co-founder Pete Warren. "We look forward to working with our community to find ways to ensure each kid has the best possible experience, free from judgement and limitations, when participating in Natick youth sports and activities."

The Redhawk Foundation, founded by Jessica and Mike Allain, and Natalie and Pete Warren, all of Natick, launched with a successful, sold-out golf event at Framingham Country Club on August 2, 2021. Support from 100 golfers attending the event, a donation from the The Austin Memorial Foundation, the presenting sponsorship of Allain & Warren Group, and lunch and cocktails by AT&R Insurance made the kickoff event a success. The organization received the generous support of other local businesses including Allain Painting, Bruno’s Barbershop of Natick, Dions Liquors, Dudley Chateau of Wayland, Finer Form, Ken Phillips Law, Leader Bank, Peel & Eat, Scafidi Juliano Law and Title City Barbers.
