(patch.com) — Natick condo buyers are seeing slightly higher prices this year, with the average sale price rising about 3 percent to $712,000 even as a few fewer units changed hands. The story puts Natick’s trend in the context of a largely flat statewide condo market, where increased inventory and lower mortgage rates have boosted sales without dramatically driving up prices.
   

2. We haven't heard the last of Nine East in Natick (natickreport.com) — Nine East Wine Emporium may return to Natick after closing its Route 9 shop in March, as owner A.J. Moran secured renewal of the store’s all-alcohol off-premises license from the Select Board. The exact new location and final business arrangement remain under wraps due to a non-disclosure agreement, but the town still has one off-premises license unassigned.
   

3. Natick girls basketball earns first win over Newton North since 2019 (masslive.com) — Natick High’s girls basketball team just snapped a six-year drought against Newton North, hanging on for a 54-50 home win behind 21 points from Kayla Dunlap. The Red Hawks are now 3-0 with victories over Brookline, Framingham, and Newton North. They’ll try to stay perfect when they host Algonquin in Natick on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
   

4. Natick's Tom Gormican went from a meta Nicolas Cage movie to a meta giant snake movie (bostonglobe.com) — Natick native Tom Gormican, who once filmed homemade talk shows here as a teen, has gone on to direct another self-aware Hollywood comedy, this time riffing on the cult snake thriller “Anaconda.” He describes balancing scares and laughs, subverting expectations with casting choices like Jack Black, and already plotting future projects that again explore flawed, aging men chasing big dreams.
