Card Skimmer Found At Natick Roche Bros. Store

Card skimmers were found at nine Roche Bros. stores in the area, though officials said they hadn't received reports of stolen customer data.

NATICK, MA — The Natick location of Roche Bros. was one of nine in Massachusetts where credit card skimmers were recently found.

Roche Bros. said in a recent news release from the company that the first skimmer was found at the Wellesley store in April, but skimmers were also found at stores in Bridgewater, Downtown Crossing, Natick, Needham, Sudbury, Watertown, West Roxbury and Westwood.

The company said they haven't received reports of stolen customer data, crediting "the vigilance and dedication demonstrated by our store teams in safeguarding our customers' payment data."

"The implementation of daily security inspections played a pivotal role in swiftly identifying the credit card skimmer in Wellesley. Additionally, our proactive protocols, including the immediate dissemination of information to all stores, enabled the swift detection of skimming devices across multiple locations on the same day," said CEO Kevin Barner.
