Clothing Drive, Christopher Cross Concert and More Happenings This Weekend
Here is a smattering of events going on in Natick this weekend.

These pajamas will be distributed, directly to the chidren at the New Hope battered shelter, located in Massachusetts.
Donations will be collected through Oct. 16.

2. The Walk'n Mass Volkssport Club invites walkers to participate in either a 5k or 10k (3.1 or 6.2 mile) walk in Natick on Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. at Morse Institute Library.
Registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., finish by 4 p.m.
Both walk routes pass Casey's Diner, one of the oldest 10-stool diners in the United States. The 5k route passes the Central Fire Station, now
home to the The Center for the Arts, the downtown area and some
residential neighborhoods. The 10k passes the Walnut Hill School for
the Performing Arts, Memorial Beach, the Station 5 Grille, and
residential areas.

3. MetroWest Peace Action monthly meeting will take place on Oct. 5 at Morse Institute Library at 1 p.m. Join the group to plan programs and actions that will promote peace in the world.

The Center for Arts in Natick hosts Christopher Cross, a legend in adult contemporary, on Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. A pioneer of easy ballads, Cross helped define an entire generation of singer-songwriters in the 1980s. With songs like “Sailing,” “Ride Like the Wind,” and “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do),” Cross shaped pop music and smooth listening for many. His 2011 album, Dr. Faith, received wide acclaim for his poetic storytelling and gentle yet strong voice.
Tickets art $100 for the concert only; $150 including champagne meet & greet.
