Contractor Seriously Injured In Natick Construction Accident

The contractor was injured on Wednesday afternoon when debris fell on his league, sending him to a Boston hospital.

NATICK, MA — A contractor suffered serious injuries during a construction accident in Natick on Wednesday, fire officials said.

"Due to the seriousness of the injuries, a medical helicopter was requested," officials said. "The medical helicopter transported the patient from the landing zone on North Main [Street] to a Boston Trauma Center."

The man has yet to be identified, but a MetroWest Daily News story stated that the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Coolidge Avenue. Officials told the publication that the man was likely injured when debris from a dump truck fell on his leg.

The man, an Eversource contractor, was working on a gas line at the time of the accident.
