Deputy Chief Edward Connelly Retiring From FD After 39 Years

Connelly has been dedicated to the department for nearly 40 years.

NATICK, MAβ€”After 39 years with the Natick Fire Department, Deputy Chief Edward Connelly is retiring.

The mandatory retirement age for those in fire service is 65, which is Connelly's age, so he's got to leave whether he wants to or not. Connelly's last day was April 29, and he is being replaced as shift two commander by Deputy Chief Victor Lipoma.

Captain Dan Mathews has been promoted to Deputy Chief and replaces Lipoma in the administrative deputy role.
