Divers Rescue Woman After Crash in River

A woman was pulled from the Charles River after a car crash Thursday afternoon.

Natick Fire Department dive teams rescued a female driver who crashed into the Charles River on Thursday around 1:55 p.m while traveling down Eliot Street.

The motorist was found conscious a "quarter mile down river," Deputy Fire Chief, Daniel Dow, said.

Natick Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Initial scanner reports said a male passenger had been in the car at the time of the crash. Fire crews were unable to locate a second person after searching the area.
