Five Crows Gallery & Handcrafted Gifts Reopens in Natick Center
Expanded offerings include art classes.

(The following was submitted to Natick Patch.)
After 11 successful years, Five Crows Gallery & Handcrafted Gifts has moved to a new location in Natick Center and will expand their offerings to include art classes.
The vibrant Natick arts scene continues to grow and contribute to the local economy. For example, the Natick Cultural District recently received a $10,000 grant to support cultural activities. For over 11 successful years, Five Crows Gallery & Handcrafted Gifts has been an integral part of the Natick arts community. This unique venue features handcrafted gifts by over 150 local, regional and national artists.

In order to expand the services they offer the community, Five Crows has moved around the corner to 41 Main Street, directly on Route 27, in the heart of the Natick Center Cultural District. This new location will also offer enough space for them to begin offering art classes.
The Five Crows Grand Opening Celebration will take place on Saturday, September 7th, from 10 am to 5pm and on Sunday, September 8th from noon to 5pm. This special event will feature live music and refreshments. Local artists will also be on hand to welcome patrons to their new venue.

“In addition to showcasing work from even more artists, we will be able to start offering art classes,” says Virginia (Ginger) McEachern, one of the artist/owners of Five Crows. “We have an amazing group of talented artists, many of whom are experienced teachers who enjoy helping others creative their own unique works of art. “ Just as they have a juried selection process to determine which artists they represent in the gallery, the owners of Five Crows will also review each artist’s prospective syllabus for the proposed art classes. The new art classes will begin in January 2014.
Five Crows is also expanding in another way – they recently welcomed two more artist/owners, so there are now five owners (‘Five Crows’) again – just as when they opened in 2002. Two of the original artist/owners had left to pursue other venues. The three original owners are Ginger McEachern, a mixed-media artist from Natick; Gianna Bird, a silversmith and jewelry designer from Westwood and Paula Williams Kochanek, who works in stained glass, kiln formed glass and lamp worked beads and currently lives in North Dartmouth. The two new owners are Marie Jeffrey, a jewelry designer from Sudbury and Sherry Anderson, a weaver and paper artist from Holliston. Both Marie and Sherry have been with Five Crows for many years.
We were excited to welcome Marie and Sherry into the nest,” says Ginger. “With a full team we believe Five Crows will soar into the future!”
