Flooding Trapped Natick Drivers Amid Severe Weather In MA
Natick police dealt with multiple stranded drivers on Route 9 during heavy rainfall on Tuesday.
NATICK, MA — Severe weather brought tornadoes, heavy rains and more than a handful of problems to Massachusetts on Tuesday, including in Natick.
Local police said on Tuesday that flooding caused multiple stranded vehicles on Route 9 at the Speen Street and Route 27 intersections.
This came as rain poured on Natick, with the National Weather Service reporting that by 1:05 p.m. at least 2.4 inches of rain had fallen.

Flooding posed major problems in cities and towns across the state, but two other communities were also forced to deal with confirmed tornadoes.

A tornado was confirmed in the Marstons Mills area of Cape Cod and also in Mattapoisett, with damage reported from downed trees and wires.
