Former Natick Superintendent Moves To Tiverton, RI Schools

Peter Sanchioni is now the superintendent of schools in Tiverton, RI.

NATICK, MAβ€”Peter Sanchioni, former Natick superintendent of schools, was named the new superintendent for Tiverton, RI, public schools on Tuesday night.

A Millis resident, he was also formerly the superintendent there prior to Natick.

Sanchioni resigned in early March and cited personal, medical and family reasons. The Natick district includes about 5,400 students from pre-kindergarten to high school in eight schools. He had been with the district for ten years.

Assistant Superintendent Anna Nolin and Assistant Superintendent of Student Services Timothy Luff have assumed responsibilities for the interim.

The Tiverton School Department has a total school population of 1,852 students who are supported by a professional staff of 182 teachers and 86 non-certified support staff. The district is comprised of three elementary schools grades K-4, one middle school grades 5-8, and one high school grades 9- 12.
