How Natick's Top 10 Boston Marathon Runners Finished
Evans Chebet of Kenya is the winner of the men's race while Hellen Obiri of Kenya grabbed the women's crown. Here's how local runners fared.

NATICK, MA — The finish line tape has been crossed and broken through, with Evans Chebet and Hellen Obiri, both of Kenya, grabbing the crown in the men’s and woman’s races of the 127th running of the Boston Marathon.
Some 30,000 entrants from 122 countries and all 50 U.S. states began making the 26.2-mile trip from Hopkinton to Boston Monday morning.
For many locals, simply qualifying for the race is a lifetime achievement. Running the race makes it even sweeter.

The Boston Marathon course starts in Hopkinton and ends on Boylston Street in Boston, with runners passing through Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton, and Brookline along the way.
