How Will Traffic Be Affected By The Boston Marathon?

The Natick Police have announced road closures and given suggested alternative routes for the time periods that will coincide with the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Thousands of runners will pass through Natick Center on Monday as they run the 117th Boston Marathon.

On top of the thousands of people running in the marathon, thousands more will line the streets along the route to cheer on the runners, many of whom are running for various charities.

Due to the running of the marathon, Rt. 135 will close at 8:45 a.m. and will not reopen until approximately 2:30 p.m., according to the Natick Police Department's Facebook Page. No cross traffic will be allowed during that time period either. Drivers must use Rt. 128 or Rt. 495 if they wish to get over the race route.
