'I Want To Apologize For Your Violent Death': Rep. Clark On Guns

Rep. Katharine Clark recently addressed the issue of gun violence and reform in a direct message to those who will die from gunshot wounds.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, MA—In a heartfelt address, Rep. Katharine Clark speaks directly to those who will fall victim to a gun death. It is a message, too, directed at Congress, which she says will "do nothing to change this bloody course" other than offer prayers and thoughts.

Clark represents the 5th Congressional District, which includes Wayland, Natick, Framingham and Sudbury.

"Dear Future Gunshot Victim," it begins. "I want to apologize for your violent death. Not only will bullets that will rip into your body end your life, but the lives of those who love you will be devastated ... I don't know how you will be shot. Maybe it will be in your elementary school, in a restaurant, in your work cubicle or on your front porch....."
