Laundry Dispute Leads to Alleged Assault on Senior

Natick Police say a dispute over a washing machine led to an assault on Cedar Avenue.

An argument stemming from the shared use of a clothes washing machine led Natick's Richard Heaton to assault his neighbor, a person older than 60, Natick Police said.

Heaton, age 55, from 90 Cedar Ave. in Natick, was arrested on July 28 and charged with assault and battery on a person older than 60 and intimidation of a witness.

's Brian Lauzon said Heaton would not let the victim leave the area to report the alleged crime, resulting in the intimidation charge.
