Missing Helmet Replaced at Natick VFW Memorial
Police are still looking for the persons responsible for taking the original.

Army veterans replaced a helmet stolen from the Fallen Soldier's Memorial outside the Natick VFW, Fox 25 reports.
Natick police asked for the public's help in tracking down the helmet after it was stolen Sept. 15.
Fox 25 reports Natick PD said after media outlets reported the story, several veterans from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan visited the VFW to drop off other helmets that were worn overseas.
"(The memorial) means a lot,” Harry Seaholm, a navy veteran who served in World War II and the Korean War, and works at VFW post 1274, told WBZ. “It means everything. There’s a body attached to that helmet somewhere out there who gave up his life.”
The original helmet is still missing.
"It is our earnest hope that it remains undisturbed for many years," the Natick Police Department wrote on its Facebook page.
