Natick Begins Hydrant Flushing Process This Week

NATICK, MA — Natick is set to begin the spring hydrant flushing process this week, town officials said.

Hydrant flushing starts Monday and will continue for several weeks during overnight hours on Mondays through Thursdays. For this week, note that the overnight hours won't affect the Boston Marathon route.

The appearance of discolored water may occur during the process, officials said.

"If you notice discolored water in the morning, please run cold water through the faucet closest to your water meter for 20 minutes," officials said.
